Maharana Pratap was a brave Rajput warrior king who ruled the kingdom of Mewar in Rajasthan, India. 

He was the 13th king of Mewar. 

Maharana Pratap was born on May 9, 1540, in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan. 

He was the eldest son of Uday Singh II and Maharani Jaiwanta Bai. 

He was one of the greatest Rajput warriors.  

Maharana Pratap fought against the Mughal Empire, led by Emperor Akbar, in the Battle of Haldighati in 1576. 

Despite being outnumbered, Maharana Pratap and his army fought with great courage and determination.

Maharana Pratap refused to accept the Mughal rule and continued to resist their attempts to conquer Mewar. 

It is believed that Maharana Pratap had 11 wives. 

He had 17 sons and 5 daughters.

After the Battle of Haldighati, Maharana Pratap continued to fight against the Mughals and regained some of his lost territories. 

He passed away on 19 January 1597, aged 56.
